JMU Club Baseball - Home of the Dukes

Welcome to the official website of James Madison Club Baseball, your source for game schedules, results, roster information and current headlines.

  • The Dukes are a part of the National Club Baseball Association and play in the Mid Atlantic North Conference.  Their opponents include VT, UVA, UMD, and GW.  In 2010, the dukes moved their home field from Eastern Mennonite High School to Long Mauck Stadium, located on the campus of JMU.  Since moving to Long Mauck, the Dukes have gone 32-14 with a MAC North championship and two regional playoff berths.

If you are interested in playing club baseball at JMU please contact Alec Bernstein (bernstam@dukes.jmu.edu) or David Laub (laubda@dukes.jmu.edu).  Tryouts for the upcoming 2011 fall season will be held during the first 3 weeks of the semester.

Headlines - DUKES NEWS

1/19/2012 - MAC Preview

Click here to view the 2012 MAC region preseason preview.  It looks like the MAC will once again be one of the most competitive regions in the NCBA and with the addition of the MAC west conference, a regional birth will be extra difficult.

12/20/11 - Spring Schedule

The Dukes will be back in action February 25th and 26th against Penn State at home.  The full spring schedule is available under the "Games" tab.

The Regional tournament has also been announced.  For more information regarding times and the location, click here.

12/15/11 - Fall season wrap up

The Dukes finished the fall with a record of 6-3.  They were able to beat ECU, UVA and complete sweeps of both UMD and GMU. Their losses included two to the defending world series champs ECU and one to UVA.  The standout performers on offensive were Driss Bernoussi, Joey Capobianco, and David Laub.  Daniel Shill and Adam Henne led the way on the mound.

Looking forward to the spring, the Dukes have high hopes of another regional playoff birth and hopefully a chance to compete in the NCBA World Series.  ECU and Penn State are already on the schedule as well as their conference opponents.

Be sure to check back in the spring for updates on game times and results.

10/18/11 - JMU vs. UMD

The Dukes take both games from the terps (1-0) (4-1) to improve their fall record to 3-2.

9/20/11 - Opening Weekend

The Dukes split with ECU on Saturday (2-1) (1-5) and drop game three (3-4).  Overall, it was a good opening weekend for the Dukes.

6/10/11 - Another Season Comes to an End

The Dukes had another solid year going 18-5.  The team won the MAC North Conference for the second time in three seasons.  But unfortunately, they were unable to shake the bad luck that has cursed the team for three consecutive seasons, losing nail bitters to ECU (2-1) and NC State (10-9) during the regional tournament.

The Dukes would like to thank all the parents for their support throughout the season at both the home and away games.
